"Looking for Shipmates."

Jake, you have provided a wonderfull service. I hope it will surface some old Buddies. If you guys are out there, give me a shout.

I was an RD2 in the OI Division (RADAR)and also permanent Shore Patrol.

In photo #19 (chow line), I'm the guy with the eyeglasses. Directly in front of me is Frank Grimes and behind me is Dick Carnavale, both from Connecticut at the time. I live in New Jersey.

Served on the "Happy Valley" during the Med Cruise in 1954-1955 NATO operations.I then transferred onto the Midway with many Valley Forge people for a great world cruise.

I will always remember my Shipmates, and I still talk about the terrible storm we hit off the Azore Islands on the way back home.
