Merry Christmas sweetheart.... And though you're not here, I hope I am with your my dear. I miss you smile and laughter. A Joy I will always miss... for one day again we shall kiss. Many months have gone by, many tears I have shed. For I still have my days, days of sorrow and dread. I have promised myself that I need to move on.... to a long life of many years I shall lead. Years where I can do just right, so I don't have to repeat to this World's delight. Hope you are waiting for me, for my arrival, when it shall be. An arrival of such joy and delight, for the years to come are in sight! And though you are above me, I pray you'll watch over thee, To help guide me in my journey from the other World which you can see. I promise to go on this Worldly mission loving you, an unforeseeable mission yet which I have encountered. As the days and years which will progress with this mission I have set forth, I hope you will be with me as I am with you! Merry Christmas....sweetheart by Anne from Virginia, E-mail address: Aloh456@aol.com |

Its so hard to believe that I now wake up alone to raise our daughter by my self. I know its not your fault and if it was i forgive you. It was a selfish act on someone elses behalf to play GOD and judge when it was your time. We have gotten justice my darling and Im staying strong just for you. We are young and this is so unfair... But you were GODs choosen form... He need help from his angles. Watch over us and stay close to me and Elaynah. You now live within our hearts as well as live life in our eyes. I hope we dont disappoint you. I never will stop loving you nor stop teaching our beautiful 14 month old about you. She still recognizes you in pictures.Sweet dreams Bobby til we make it home........ wait at the gates.... On Saturday, November 17, 2001 at 16:27:39 a tribute was placed here to Honor All Who Fought For The United States
My deepest respect and love to the American men and women who have served our country. I was with my mother at a nursing center today and had a wonderful conversation with a retired World War II Hero, Bernie Gaeta, who was a Marine. He is blind and in a wheel chair. He told me how he was a gunner "an excellent one". To see him today made me proud, just so sad that he is alone with no one visiting him. I always bring him chocolate milkshakes and he holds my mother's hand. He told me he'd rather have a cold beer, but, I haven't gotten clearance from the nursing home. Just wanted to visit this fine site and let you know my heart is heavy with love and respect for all of you. by Jill from Atlantic City, New Jersey, E-mail address: hhilvr@aol.com |

To my father, Herbert L. Wallace, who bravely served his country in the Pacific in World War II. "It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, Who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protester to burn the flag." You pressed a kiss into my palm and folded up my hand..."This is to keep...I think you'll feel it there and understand." Now you are gone, I look down at my palm... and feel that kiss, as though it lingered there... like some small nesting bird; and then my thoughts go out to you: I breathe a little prayer. "Take care of him dear Lord now that he is home with you and I'll keep this kiss while we two are apart." "Your kiss is in my hand - you in my heart." I know that one day I'll see you again...ah, then, my dear, I can return to you...the kiss you left behind. by Anne |

Oh my Sweet brother, how I miss you so. You were there all my life, to watch me learn and grow. You went away to fight a war when you were oh so young. you came back my hero, your service not yet done. Still you hovered over me protecting me in your arms. You stood beside me all the way, saving me from harm. What shall I do now that you are gone why did God take you away. Didn't he know "kid" needed you and wanted you to stay. Norm, I will forever be proud of you, not just my brother, but the man who served his country for over thirty of your short 55 years. The Navy, the National Guard, the Army Reserves all owe you their gratitude, along with the citizens of Klamath Falls. You served us all so strongly, and yet, with such a gentle love. My dad served in WWII and Korea. During Koea, he was pretty much the "Pappy Boyington" of the USS Princeton. He loved to fly. His later years were spent doting on his grandchildren. I think he was trying in his own way to make up to us for the time he was away. I won't make him a saint now that he is gone, but he sure tried to be a different person in his last years. I miss the daddy I didn't have when I was young, miss the one I did have even more. by Phoebe Mocabee from Clovis, CA, E-mail address: nwlskid@juno.com |
