To My Dad, with all the love that one daughter could give, I realy miss you and Love you, If there was ever someone that was my hero it was you. I know your watching over all you kids and your wife because if it is one thing that you tought me was that Family always comes first no matter what. My father was a World War II Navy veteran, who passed on 23 Oct 02. I would like to honor his memory and his service by placing flowers here. He was the most gentle man I have ever met and I love him dearly and miss him more.

In memory of my Greatgrand-father who was lost at sea, march, 1918. He left behind Two daughters and one unborn daughter he would never get to see, may God Bless your soul and all the Merchant seamen lost at sea during war time.

God Bless all of those who have come before us and those who come after us. May they not die in vain. They may be gone, but not forgotten. Thanks to all of those who have served and will serve in the United States Armed Forces. May the rest in peace.

I didn't know my grandfather while he was in the military since he retired long before I was born but I know he loved the Navy. He passed away 4 1/2 years ago. He now rests in Radcliff Memorial Gardens in Radcliff, KY. I love you Pappaw.

Dad... was a fun-loving and gentle man; caring and giving to all who came his way. He loved God, this country and fought for our freedom.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
I can still see Mom in his arms dancing to the "good old tunes" oh, what memories, I miss them both today. But they are in a far better place where nothing can hurt them, safe in God's care! His wisdom and love stands strong in our hearts/lives, for we were all touched by the man we called, "DAD!"

My brother Ed, while being a Canadian served in the U. S. Army, 4th Div. 3 Bn., 22 Reg in Vietnam from Sept. 1966 to Mar 21, 1967. He was in the first squad who encountered the enemy and was wounded at the Battle of Soui Tre on March 21. He died in a car accident in 1970. We Miss You Ed.

COMPANY K, 346TH INFANTRY U.S. ARMY WOUNDED IN GERMANY (3RD ARMY UNDER GENERAL PATTON)

RAISED 10 CHILDREN WHO ALL LOVED HIM DEEPLY. MET OUR MOTHER WHEN SHE WAS 15 AND HE 25 IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. HE MARRIED HER THE DAY AFTER SHE TURNED 16 IN BURDINE KENTUCKY, THEY WERE MARRIED FOR 51 YEARS UNTIL SHE PASSED IN 1996.

HE WORKED ALL HIS LIFE AS AN AUTOMOBILE MECHANIC IN ROCHESTER, NY WITH ONE HAND. THE OTHER WAS SHOT IN THE BATTLE OF THE BULDGE ALONG WITH A SHATTERED EAR DRUM. ALTHOUGHT HE WAS DEAF IN ONE EAR HE SURE COULD HEAR (WE ALWAYS SAID HE HAD CONVIENIENT HEARING) WHEN ONE OF US 10 CHILDREN WERE WHISPERING ABOUT SOMETHING WE HAD DONE WRONG.

HE PASSED LAST TUESDAY 11/05/02 AT THE AGE OF 83.

HE WAS A SOLIDER ALL HIS LIFE. FIGHTING IN WWII,
AND FIGHTING HARD TO RAISE US 10 CHILDREN WHILE MY BELOVED MOTHER STAYED AT HOME TO RAISE US.

HE LOVED FISHING AND WATCHING BOXING. A CHAMP HAS
HUNG UP HIS GLOVES. GOD BLESS YOU DADDY. YOU ARE NOW AT PEACE WITH MOMMY. WE MISS YOU SO MUCH.

I am grateful of the the memories of times spent on his farm in West Virginia. I lived with him while going to WVU. The real education was learning about his life and the war through his experiences (the ones he shared of course). I'm proud to call him my Pap.

Each day I have the wonderful opportunity through my place of employment to interact with our country's heroes. These are men who gave up their everyday life and went off to fight in wars that kept our freedom. I work in a prosthetics clinic and I can tell you the saying "Freedom isn't free" is so true but these men blame no one and are so proud to have served their country. To them all I say thank you and you will always be in my heart.

To my Hero of Heroes: My Dad
He served in WWII at a painfully young age; the Korean confict, and during Viet Nam. He retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service. My Dad passed away Feb. 21, 1998 and I miss him every day of my life.
To my Dad and to all the other veterans: Thank you for making life and death decisions so that I can live free.

Thanks for fighting for the many freedoms that we all have today. Also, thanks for not just being my father, but also a great friend. I love you more than you will ever know.

We were so young back then and so full of life. We shared dreams of what we would become and what we would do when we got back home to the world. On those battlefields of Nam and a thousand other places died a lot of dreams so that those back home could live theirs. God bless each of you till we meet again in God's house.

WWII veteran of six assaults beginning with Normandy; Bronze Star, my father, my hero. He always said that the boys who didn't come home were the true heroes..of every war. I am proud to be his daughter and proud of my patriotism and proud to be an American. He is Home now.

In honor of my half-brother, Pvt. Floyd R. Noe of Huntingburg, Indiana, who died in Vietnam on July 12, 1967. I am sorry we never got to know you. Rest in peace.

I can only imagine the horror these Heros faced, and wish I could hold even just One, and tell Him how He'll be remembered in such honour. Nothing can do Them justice, but I thought that They'd appreciate the idea that They did not die in vain. I am speaking to a German friend right now, and think that our friendship stands as a symbol of good times now and peace.
They gave us everything and more.
They will not ever be forgotten.
They live on in God's arms in peace.

My daddy was in World War Two and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He said of Vietnam that if he went then maybe he'd keep some 18 year old from having to go. Daddy never talked about the wars or what he did. When asked, all I can remember him ever saying was he did what he had to do for his country and that he'd do it all again. Daddy was a quiet man who loved God, his family and his country! He died on August 25, 2001 and we laid him to rest with full Military Honors. Two weeks to the day and almost to the minute of his burial the United States was bombed. I'm glad that daddy was not here, for it would have broke his poor heart. But knowing my dad, if it had been possible he would have put on his uniform and signed up again. To my dad and to all of you who have served in whatever way, I say THANK YOU and God Bless each & every one of you. Because of men & women like you we have this wonderful country that we do today. All of you are special each in your own way, just like my daddy! Rest in peace daddy, America is in good hands.
