84 years old and living in South Texas

I place this in honor of my brother, Daniel C. Tedrow, Company A, 26th Marines, 1st Marine Division, who was KIA 11/27/1968, South Vietnam. He was a wonderful little brother and I miss him so... I'm looking for anyone who might have known him. Thanks!

I never knew him, but I am getting to know him. I adopted him...and I have researched him for a few days now. I have written to my congressional representatives requesting to know why his remains have never been returned to his family, friends, and country. May he RIP and know he is still remembered.

Dick as I knew him sereved his country welll,during WW2. He was in the US NAVY having served on sevral ships,one of which was hit by a
torpedo. Dick never spoke much of the service.
Hewas a nice guy and did no bragging.
He will be sadly missed by his Wife,and Daughetr who survive him and many many freinds
May the Lord be waiting to greet you,when you arrive at your next port of call.

To a wonderful guy who I miss more today than the day you left. David was a wonderful person. He was killed in action in Vietnam on 11-18-1969. Rest in peace my love till we all meet again.

You two were the last of four generations to make a career of the armed forces. My brother, Steve, and I broke that line but neither of us has ever forgotten what both of you taught us. We now pass on these memories to our children and grand children. You both survived combat in WWII and carried on the tradition until you Gramps retired in 1962 after 44 years of service; and most of all to you Dad having lost you August 19, 1972, six weeks after I returned fromn Southeast Asia. You had 33+ years before a fatal accident took you and your quiet leadership away from us. I love you and miss you both everyday for the lost conversations and wisdom you are no longer able to pass on to us. You will never be forgotton I make that pledge.

Billy I would like to tell you since I have come to this sight, I have heard from many of your fellow soldiers - your friends who have e-mailed me to share with me their time with you Dennis McCarthy, John Conley, Burl Schultz, Dan Thompson, Mr. Boone. I am thankful for all their help and their memories they have shared with me. Billy you were well liked and very much respected.

Hesrchel was my dad he was not perfect but he was a good father and friend. He was proud of his country and having served. Dad didn't talk about the war or his service very often. I know he landed on D-day and was wounded on Christmas day when a mortar round exploded near him. He lost some of his hearing from the explosion and still carried a small piece of shrapnel they missed in his hip when he passed away.

After his death I requested replacements for his medals that were destroyed by fire before I was born. When I recieved them I learned that he had been awarded a Silver Star and a Bronze star for Valor he never mentioned it the few times we spoke of the war.

I am proud of My dad and all those that serve to maintain our freedom. I may not agree with the politicians or the reasoning behind a military action but I Will Always Respect and Honor our Veterans And Active Military personnel who serve to give me that privilige..

We do not know God's reason for their loss at that time,but we who were connected to those folks will never forget them. I honor the loss of those men,and withe their loved ones whom they left behind,may our prayers be with them.

I Wish to thank my Dad and Uncles for servering their country and all vets with them we would not have ouir freeedoms of today.

I want to say thank you to all those that have given their life and put themselves in harms way. And especially to my husband who was so brave and proud to serve during the Viet Nam War, please remember these men proudly. Thank You!!!

In memory of a truly wonderful soldier, husband and father who passed away in the line of duty on July 19, 2004. A US Army veteran of 15 years and a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He left behind a wife of 12 years and two sons, Ricardo Jr (10) and Ryan (4). We love and miss you dearly.

My dear father was a veteran of WWII. At the tender age of 18 he was drafted. He was an Italian Mama's boy & had never traveled out of New York. He was very thin, did't know how to swim and very frightened.

On the ship that took him to New Guinea he had terrible sea sickness and lost even more weight. He never stepped foot on a boat after the war until right before his passing when he joined my mother on a cruise. He loved it, especially the food!

He suffered from "shell shock" and never received any type of treatment during or after the war. He also contracted malaria right at the time he was to return home, but could not until he was cleared medically.

He barely spoke of his time serving our country. He had night terrors, could not learn to drive and sufferred from extreme anxiety. He only received a 10% disability from the VA but was afraid to ask for more money.

He was a loving husband and father. He died 10 years ago after having many heart attacks. The night terrors exacerbated his heart condition.

After his death my mother was able to receive his a widow's benefit when she applied. The VA agreed that his PTSD (shell shock) attributed greatly to his poor health.

He loved his country, the flag and any military personnel and vets. He is my hero.

A wonderful husband, father and friend. We love and miss you. You loved your country, and you died too soon. So young, so beautiful, and so kind.

I thank you for saving my life and the sorrow of your deaths haunts me to this day

I honor you all and your memory will live in my heart forever.... God be with you -------Dusters up!!!!

Served on the USS Valley Forge from Jan. 1951 to Nov. 1954, with the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He's been gone from us for 3 years, but never missing from our hearts and minds.

1931-2003

Served on the USS Valley Forge in the Korean War. The best grandfather a girl could ever wish for, and a great father and husband as well. He grew up with little but loved a great deal - lived a very humbled life. He enjoyed fishing, flea markets! music, (huge Hank Williams Sr fan!). He was just a TRUE country boy! We love him and miss him and know that he lives on in his great grandson, which the good Lord blessed us to have grandaddy around long enough for him to hold his precious baby boy in person! May he live on in Heaven, and our hearts and souls, and memories forever and ever. And thank you for the opportunity to remember such a wonderful man.

George passed away Jan 26th 2006.
He served very proudly on the USS Texas during
WW2.He wasa good sailor and a good husband,Father and Grandfather.
He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

Dave passed away on December 26, 2005 in Temple,TX.

During his service to the USA, he did a tour aboard the USS Valley Forge 1955-56 in Fox Division. He was a long time member of the Happy Valley Reunion Club (HVRC) and truly enjoyed the reunions and all he met there.

Our sympathies go out to his family and friends.

I thanked him often for what he and countless others did for our country.
